This item is offered as an alternative to the round soapstone in the aluminum holder.
The flat soapstone is sometimes used at public establishments:
Where the aluminum holders may "disappear" or,
Careless users may scratch the scoreboard with the metal holder
Features
Soapstone is an alternative to chalk. It produces very little dust and lasts longer. This rectangular/ flat soapstone "marker" is offered as an alternative to the round shape soapstone. It is used without the aluminum holder.
Flat soapstones (no holder required) are recommended for pub environments or other situations where users are more likely to scratch the scoreboard surface with a metal holder.
